Prysmian focuses on developing and enhancing one strong brand
The history of Prysmian dates back to 1879, when Società Cavi Pirelli, the cable division of the then Pirelli Group, was established in Italy. With over 140 years of history, Prysmian has been at the forefront of cable technology development, providing innovative solutions and helping to exceed customer expectations in global markets. We currently operate in 50 countries, with 108 production sites and 25 R&D centres that enable us to serve a wide range of sectors.
Keila plant, the heart of the Baltic cable industry
The Keila plant, which was established in 1968 and has now grown into a leading production unit for electrical cables, has played an important role for Baltics. The Keila plant was one of the first in the Baltics States to invest in a quality management system, meeting ISO certification requirements. Now the main focus is on introducing environmental sustainability – all production at the Keila plant relies on 100% green energy, confirming our commitment to environmental sustainability.
Going forward, we will focus on developing and enhancing the Prysmian brand
The Prysmian group includes several well-known brands, the most influential of which are Draka and General Cable. Draka has been a reliable choice for many customers, shaping the standards of the cable industry both in the Baltics and elsewhere. Going forward, the group has reached a strategic decision to move forward as a monobrand. This move will allow us to focus on developing and enhancing the Prysmian brand, offering our customers a consistent yet more flexible choice.
We will continue to deliver quality and innovation to support our customers' goals and remain a reliable partner in both local and international markets.
